Dr Daniel Wong

MBBS, FANZCA

I am a Specialist Anaesthetist, practising in both public and private hospitals within Melbourne. The following information is a brief background about my training and practice:

After graduating from Medicine at Melbourne University in 1997 I completed most of my anaesthesia training at St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne. In 2005, I spent a year working as a neuroanaesthesia fellow in Toronto, Canada.

I have a special interest in using nerve blocks to reduce pain after operations, particularly for hand and shoulder surgery. I currently work as a consultant anaesthetist at St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne where I am actively involved in the nerve block (i.e. regional anaesthesia) teaching program and have published extensively in the area.

My regular private practice work includes anaesthesia for ENT (including paediatrics), dental, maxillofacial, obstetrics (including epidural anaesthesia), ophthalmic and orthopaedic surgery.

You may contact my office on 03 9900 0010 if you have any questions about your upcoming anaesthetic.
