Dr Lisa Lin

MBBS, FANZCA

I graduated from the Medical School at the University of Adelaide in 1999. After completing my internship at Royal Adelaide Hospital, I returned to Melbourne for my clinical work. During my anaesthetic training in Melbourne since 2003, I have worked in Geelong Hospital, Monash Medical Centre, Moorabbin Hospital, St Vincent’s Hospital, Dandenong Hospital, Casey Hospital and Box Hill Hospital.

I also spent one year training at the National University Hospital in Singapore and a fellowship year specializing in ultrasound guided peripheral nerve blocks at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto, Canada. My subspecialty is particularly useful for pain management in limb surgeries and some lower abdominal surgeries.

I published a review article “Evidence basis for the use of ultrasound for upper-extremity blocks” in the journal of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, 2010. My other practice areas also include plastics, orthopaedics, ENT, ophthalmic, obstetrics, paediatrics, general surgery and trauma surgery.

I am a visiting anaesthetist at Austin Hospital and The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital. I am also a member of the Australian Society of Anaesthetists. I am actively involved in anaesthetic trainee education and has been a demonstrator for several ultrasound-guided regional anaesthesia workshops.
