Martin is a Deputy Director of the Department of Anaesthesia and Acute Pain Medicine at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne. He trained at St Vincent’s before doing Neuro anaesthesia and Obstetric anaesthesia fellowships at the Royal Melbourne & Royal Womens Hospitals.

Martin enjoys all aspects of non-cardiac anaesthesia and has wide ranging interests in Perioperative medicine, medical administration, teaching and quality & safety. He has previously held Chief Medical Officer/ Director of Medical Services roles. He is a foundation member of ANZCA’'s Chapter of Perioperative Medicine and is a final examiner for ANZCA’'s fellowship exam.

Martin works regularly in anaesthesia for gynaecology and obstetrics where he enjoys partnering with patients and their families to provide holistic perioperopative care.
