Dr Nathaniel Hiscock

MBBS (hons), BMedSc (Hons) FANZCA

My name is Nathaniel Hiscock and I am a specialist anaesthetist with Associated Anaesthetists Group.

I practice publicly at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne, Eastern Health, and the Mercy Hospital for Women.

I graduated medicine with first class honours from Monash University in 2015, where I also completed a Bachelor of Medical Science research degree. I undertook my specialist training in Victoria and was a provisional fellow at St Vincent’s Hospital in 2023 where I gained further experience looking after complex patients having major surgery.

During training I received several awards from the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists. These included the Renton Prize and a Certificate of Merit for my performance in the Primary and Final specialist anaesthetic exams, as well as prizes for my research and audit projects undertaken during training.

I currently enjoy a breadth of adult and obstetric anaesthetic practice, helping to teach and prepare anaesthetic trainees for their specialist exams, and have research interests in using databases to assess perioperative outcomes and complications. I am committed to ensuring my patients’ safety and wellbeing during their perioperative journey.

Outside of work I’m engaged to my lovely fiancé and enjoy trying to keep fit, skiing, and playing squash.
