Dr Perdita Kings

MBBS, FANZCA

I am an anaesthetist working at St Vincent’s and The Royal Women’s Hospitals in Melbourne.

I completed my training at St Vincent’s and undertook fellowships at The Alfred (in Melbourne) and The Royal Women’s (due to my specific interest in obstetric anaesthesia). During this time, I gained experience managing complex, high risk, and trauma patients – this has shaped my current practice, which includes a broad range of emergency and elective work. Specific interests include anaesthesia for orthopaedics, ophthalmology, obstetrics, urology and major abdominal surgeries.

In addition to an undergraduate Medical degree, I hold a Masters degree in Critical Care Medicine. I have also completed a Law degree, which helps me pursue my love of teaching and interest in medical ethics and clinical safety.

Outside of work, I enjoy (unsuccessfully) kicking the footy with my little boys, Freddie and Max.
